Abergavenny Library update: the gap is slowly closing

Donations are coming in and going onto the shelves at Abergavenny Library. I'm delivering them one at a time, whenever I visit.

Once the latest lot is on the shelves, the tally will be 17 monographs on female artists and 37 on male artists. When I started, it was 6 and 37.

I'm expecting a few more donations in the next couple of weeks. After that, 18 books will close the gap and 20 will bring the numbers up to 49% for artist men and 51% for artist women to match our population at the last UK census.

Do get in touch if you have ideas for sourcing books, if you have a thematically related project - we have a peer feedback group meeting periodically - or if you have questions or knowledge to add to this project.
